Tips on Scouting!!

Here are some ways that I have found to be helpful in Scouting for the LDC!!

Tip 1. Look for something that you like to do.

Tip 2. Then do a search on the that subject.

Tip 3. Make sure it is a kid friendly site.

Tip 4. When signing a guestbook you can use cut & paste (I love cut & paste) for the comments.  [Add a comment to let them know you really did look at their site.]

Here is the link to the Codes for the LDC Comments.

Tip 5. You may save a copy of the codes to use in the comments part of your invitation. We recommend you save them to your desktop so you can find them easily.  It help a lot because you don't have to have so many windows open.

Also here is example in signing a guestbook!!

Your name: Enter your Little Dragon Castle nickname!!

Your E-mail address : Put this e-mail address unicorns@littledragoncastle.com

Home Page Title: Little Dragon Castle!!

Home Page Url: http://www.littledragoncastle.com

Referred By: From a Friend!!

Location: Where you live (State and Country)!!

Comments: That is where you can copy and paste the invitation codes!!

Some Guestbook do not allow html coding.  For example: Yahoo Geocities.  In that case erase the coding in your comments and enter something nice to say about their site!!

Here what I say:

You have a wonderful web site. In particular I like the way you [add a comment to let them know you really did look at their site.]  Please feel free to visit and look around Little Dragon Castle. If you like what you see please feel free join Little Dragon Castle.

Tip 6. Keep a copy of the report forms listing the sites you have looked though, that way you don't scout over the same one twice.

Tip 7. Look back about 90 days in the Guestbook to make sure another Soldier didn't scout the same web site. That helps too.

Tip 8.  When you have invited a site to join the Little Dragon Castle highlight and copy the URL and jot down the Site Name for your entry on the Report Form.

Tip 9.  When you are finished scouting for the day or week send the report to the Castle for our records.
