ALMOND CHEESE SPREAD

Ingredients:

1/2 cup almonds, with skins
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
5 slices bacon
1 Tbsp green onion, chopped
1 Tbsp celery, chopped
1 Tbsp green pepper, chopped

Directions:

  1. Place almonds on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for a few minutes until browned. Watch carefully.

  2. Fry bacon until crisp; crumble.

  3. Beat cream cheese, then gradually stir in mayonnaise.

  4. Add bacon, vegetables and seasonings.

  5. Mix well, cover and chill overnight.

  6. When chilled, cover top surface with almonds.

  7. Serve with an assortment of crackers.
