My Dad

I lingered and read a bit
Smiled and bit my lip
Then closed my eyes to dream
My father came to mind
He left this world much to soon

Never knowing his grandchildren
He missed so much joy and laughter
I try to live his dream for him now
To tell him I loved him seemed childish then

Because he was so strong and masculine
God, I love and miss that man
And hope I can be just half what he was
My model, my pattern, my hope and always

My guide to
 Dream the Dream of Angels
My Dad
