Moonbeams have washed away the shadows
Watching you sleep and your dreams fly
As you gently hold and caress your pillows

Eyes closed and lips pursed just so
Hair spread in luxurious splendor
With soft words murmured low
Your face so very soft and tender

My fingers trace a line across your brow
Down your blushing cheek to your chin
Ever so gently brushing your lips just now
Brings with it joy and I grin

Leaning ever so much closer still
Your warm and sweet breath I can taste
Just being near is my wondrous thrill
My lips to yours I slowly and gently place

A kiss in the silence of the night
Speaks of love so tender and right
It is real and a marvelous dream of ours alone
That seems so real to you it must have flown
