Rendezvous

Swiftly moving across the evening sky
Clouds cover the stars in the wink of an eye
With a breath of wind through the trees
Serenity is filling the night for you to please.

Shadows move slowly from the west to the east
Colors fade every so slowly, dressed in the blackest
Waiting in silent stillness for your return
For these moments alone romance must yearn.

A soft brush of your hand on my arm
A smile filled with fun filled mischief
Hearts beat every so fast without alarm
Your visits while often are never enough.

So fly away time, fly away soon
Night to day will quickly fade, yet still dreamy
Only to ask was it real or just a fantasy
In blink of an eye to wait again for the moon.
