Easy Way to Draw Animals

It's not always easy to make a drawing of an animal. That's why we thought that you would like to have an easy way and learn a bit about how to draw and view them. This basic method for drawing can be very helpful and it is used by professional artists all over the world. I learned it in art school many years ago.

All drawing has a basic point to start.

As you look at the samples we have below you can see that all of them start out on the left as simple shapes. Once you have the shapes in place then you can start to fill in the animal. Go slowly at first and don't try to make the final drawing from the very start. Artists call this setting proportions. I know that is a big word but all it means is that the head is the right size for the body and the legs fit.

Once you have the second part of the drawing done you can start to color in the rest of the animal and make it start to look real. Artists call this rendering. Heck all it means is you are filling in the animal shape the way you think it should look. That would be your final drawing.

Take you time and work slowly. It will take practice but then you will see that it begins to get easier and easier.
