Grains of
Sand
Small white sparkling grains of
sand
Trickle easily and gracefully from my hand
Sparkling in the sun like stars that abound
Dropping back down, hidden on the ground
Scooped back up quickly without flaw
Are they the same grains that I once saw
Or are these new, now from the plain
Brought silently by the wind and the rain
Like lost feelings and thoughts of love
Once silently fallen to the ground
Gone forever from my treasure trove
Less remains of what once did abound
But like the sparkling grains of sand again
Brought silently by the wind and rain
I hope new feelings and thoughts of love
Return silently, to rebuild the trove.
